Services

Upon customer acceptance of the quote by electronic signature, Colonel Handyman LLC agrees to provide the services listed on the quote. Once the work is complete, the customer is expected and obligated to pay the amount due, based on the provided services listed in the invoice.

 

Deposit

Deposit is collected primarily for Colonel Handyman LLC to purchase materials, and to hold your scheduled date of service.

 

Assumptions

A quote provided by Colonel Handyman LLC assumes no unusual circumstances that create unexpected requirements to repair or modify the work area in order to complete the project.

 

Cancellation

Cancellation must be done at least 3 workdays prior to the project or part of your deposit may not be returned. If non-returnable items are ordered for this project after approval, the deposit is not refundable for the cost of those items. If cancellation is less than three workdays, up to 75% of the deposit is fully refundable.

 

Labor Pricing

Colonel Handyman operates normally on a time plus materials business model. Colonel Handyman LLC charges either a base rate for a service call or a flat fee for certain types of services. The base rate provides up to 3.0 hours of service to the customer plus a trip charge. After the first 3.0 hours of service, an hourly rate applies and is billed in 15-minute increments from arrival time until job completion, including clean-up and load-up. The flat fee varies by service and is quoted at the time of inquiry. Colonel Handyman LLC will provide specific rates when customers call and inquire about services. All pricing provided in a quote is good for 30 days, for the services outlined in the quote

 

Materials Pricing

Materials are charged to the client at cost including tax plus 5% for pickup prior to job start. If additional materials are needed, they are charged to the client at contractor cost including tax plus 5%, and the time to go purchase the items is also included in the hourly base rate. In some cases, materials are included in the quoted price as Service & Materials.

 

Payments

Payment to Colonel Handyman LLC is due upon completion of the service. Preferred payment method is the electronic app  Zelle, cash or check in person, or securely pay online at the customer portal. Online credit/debit card payments, other than deposits, incur a 3.95% + $0.30 per transaction processing fee on the base amount.

 

Warranty

Any materials supplied are warranted according to the manufacturer’s warranty on those products; Labor provided by the Colonel Handyman LLC is warranted for three months and is limited to the amount of the cost of the service provided. Defects in labor and workmanship found during the warranty period shall be corrected at Colonel Handyman’s expense. If during the first hour of service customer determines the handyman on site is not working hard enough or with enough skill, the customer agrees to tell the onsite handyman this information, and Colonel Handyman LLC agrees to discontinue service and leave, and the customer will pay for only the materials installed or that cannot be returned. If the customer is not satisfied with the quality of the onsite handyman's work, the customer agrees to allow Colonel Handyman LLC to remedy the problem and Colonel Handyman LLC agrees to fix it.

 

Liability

Customer agrees to provide liability and property insurance to protect against loss or damage due to theft, fire, vandalism, and force majeure on their own property. Colonel Handyman LLC agrees to provide liability insurance to protect the homeowner against negligence while delivering services. Colonel Handyman LLC is insured by insurers of recognized financial responsibility against such losses and risks and in such amounts as are prudent and customary in the business in which the Colonel Handyman LLC is engaged.

 

Dispute Resolution

Customer and Colonel Handyman LLC agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes between themselves. If an agreement cannot be reached, both parties agree to resolve the issue through an arbitration service.

 

Service Limitations

All services are limited to what is described in the Estimate and/or the work Order provided to the customer. Any additional services not described in the Estimate and/or the Job will be provided at an additional cost, to be pre-approved by the customer, either in a new Work Order or an additional Estimate.

 

Governing Law

This handyman service agreement with the customer shall be governed by the laws of the state of Georgia.

 

Acceptance/Approval

Colonel Handyman LLC agrees to provide the services listed within once the customer approves the provided estimate/quote and/or job either by clicking an approval link with electronic signature, verbally or by written consent, or by email. Further, with this customer approval, both parties agree that Colonel Handyman LLC will provide said services at the stated pricing as well as comply with the Terms and Conditions outlined within this document.

Insurance

Colonel Handyman LLC is covered under a general liability policy and workman's compensation policy.  Our certificate of insurance is available upon request.
